As someone who dreamt all through childhood of living in NYC in her mid-20’s and now will always live with that what-if, I can confidently say you’re right and I’m glad you took that leap for yourself! I love living vicariously through you, and that feeling of not feeling like your normal self is something I experience every time I move to a new state. I bet that initial excitement and drive you had when you first moved will come back. Switching jobs in the midst of adjusting to a whole new life in the city is daunting, but if anyone can handle it, it’s you man! Good luck with everything! And as always, thanks for the knowledge!
Thank you Josie, it's good to know I'm not alone in feeling a bit off after the move. I forgot that you've moved to multiple states multiple times. It's as if you have multiple seasons in the TV series of your life, each season being in a different location. Kind of like White Lotus lol. I do think I'm close to rebounding and finding a new rhythm here which is totally par with the course. Thank you for the words of encouragement! :)
Thats really ironic you said that - I've always wanted to write a sitcom and when I lived in Oklahoma I had so many things happen that made me go "that would be a great idea for an episode" haha. I have a list somewhere of all my episode ideas. Definitely a dream of mine - this one not being contingent on being in my mid-20's thankfully lol.
