ChatGPT Reviews The Bleeding Edge And Enjoys It
This past week I wanted to ensure I was writing to my intended target audience. I used ChatGPT to review the newsletter as an unbiased third party and tell me who it thought my target audience was. The target audience I was hoping it’d identify is humans who aim to be better versions of themselves through self reflection, sometimes with the help of cutting edge technology.
First, I set ChatGPT to use the browsing feature to access my newsletter
Then, I asked it…
What is the bleeding edge by ezrawithacamera on substack
To which ChatGPT responded:
I’d say that’s pretty much spot on. When recommending the newsletter to family and friends, I may use the line “The Bleeding Edge provides a unique, human-centric lens to view the rapidly evolving digital landscape and life's multifaceted experiences.”
In an effort to get material to help market the newsletter, I then had it read more articles and asked it:
What would the ideal target audience say to a friend when giving their friend a recommendation to read it?
And I got:
For me, this exercise is helpful to gain an understanding of how close I am to hitting my target audience, plus get taglines to share with friends when I recommend the newsletter to friends and family.
What does this mean for you?
If you have WRITTEN ANY WORDS ON THE INTERNET, consider using ChatGPT to talk through how effective your writing is. Specifically, ask it to identify what it thinks your target audience is. Once you feel ChatGPT has the target audience nailed down, you can take it a step further and ask it to estimate the target audience’s net worth, hobbies, goals, struggles, plus the products they use everyday. With that information, you can identify products to sell that your target audience uses every day.
If you want to steal like an artist, you could have ChatGPT identify how your competitors (or even your favorite brands) speak to their target audience so you can take bits and pieces to apply to your business.
