Mother’s Day is next weekend. If you are having trouble thinking of a gift, let’s lean on our good friend ChatGPT.
Try this out. Click the link above and then copy and paste the following prompt, then answer the questions it gives you.
I want to get my mom a thoughtful gift. Ask me 7 questions so we can build context about my mom, then give me 10 gift ideas, with 3 being especially unique, based on my answers
Here are the 7 questions chatGPT wants me to answer:
When you do this for yourself, there’s bound to be a handful of gift ideas you don’t vibe with. But there will likely be a few that are great.
If all the answers are too bland, or you want to dig deeper to find the perfect gift, don’t be afraid to communicate with ChatGPT. Literally, tell it that the gifts are too bland and that it needs to come up with 10 more unique and thoughtful gifts. You can also give it more context to get a better understanding of a great gift for your mom. I guarantee that will get you the perfect gift.
In all scenarios using ChatGPT, the follow-up adjustments to the first answer it gives you are its superpower.
This technique can be used for just about any gift-giving scenario. Birthday, holiday, partner. Hell, I’ve even used it to think of a small thoughtful gift for a second date lol.
Also, I must shout out ONE37pm’s Derek Siskin for telling me to use ChatGPT to generate gift ideas around a month ago. Great idea Derek.

Journal Entry: Let Yourself Feel
I will always share what I’m interested in at the moment in this newsletter. Sometimes that will be cutting-edge tech and sometimes it’ll be observations in my personal life.
Everyone has a personal life. Everyone is doing something, going through something, working on themselves.
And to be honest, leaving most of my family, friends, and belongings behind to move to NYC has not been easy. Last Saturday I woke up and did a Wim Hof breathing exercise because it was on my TikTok For You page. After doing so, I felt more grounded in my body. I quickly realized I was super homesick and started to cry.
While crying I kept thinking two things. “I miss my family” & “Everything is so different here.”
Why am I telling you this?
We need to be able to feel what we’re going through, even if we’ve been suppressing those emotions, and especially if we didn’t even know we’ve been suppressing those emotions.
I didn’t know I was until I did the breathing exercise. I highly recommend you give the breathing exercise a try. It’s like an active version of meditating meant to get you more in tune with your body, thoughts & emotions. It’s insane what simply breathing in a non-common way can do for your brain.
There’s also been a great development in my personal life :)
I’m getting a new job in New York City: Platform Strategist for VeeFriends.
If you know, you know how big of a deal this is to me.
If you don’t know, VeeFriends is an intellectual property created two years ago by serial entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk. It’s similar to Hello Kitty & Pokemon. My job will be to help with storytelling and developing the cartoon characters.
I’ve admired what Gary posts on social media for nearly six years. When I first started watching his vlogs in October 2015, I knew I would work for him one day.
That dream was fulfilled a year ago when I got the job as community manager for ONE37pm’s Twitter and then Instagram.
The funny thing about this is, I denied the job offer. Twice.
Last week I felt emotionally fragile and didn’t think I was ready for another huge life change in a short period of time. However, eventually, my mental state would be better and I would have regretted not taking the opportunity. At the end of the day, I moved to NYC to challenge myself and grow as a human, so let’s do that.
I also need to shout out the team at both VeeFriends & ONE37pm for being so understanding as I went back and forth on taking the offer.
I believe the right decision was made.
In my adult life, I’ve always gravitated towards sharing thoughts about my life so others can benefit from the lessons I learn. That’s what this newsletter is, and now I get to do it in a new medium of cartoons for VeeFriends.
Really resonated with this one man! Congratulations on the new job!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re gonna do amazing things!
