🔴 7 Things I Wish I Knew 7 Years Ago
Every newsletter starts with a question.
Who am I writing for?
The answer is often my past self.
So, in this short and sweet newsletter, I’m sharing some things I wish I knew earlier.
I also used Instagram Stories to ask people what they wish they knew earlier, and will share them at the end.
7 Things I Wish I Knew 7 Years Ago
There’s nobody to blame but yourself.
If you don’t like how your life is going, you can’t blame your boss, mom, girlfriend, brother, friends… anyone. You alone are in full control.
Don’t commit to something you know you don’t want to do.
People-pleasing gets you nowhere. Spend time doing things YOU want to do.
Nobody has all the answers.
No one person will solve all your problems.
You determine how others treat you.
More positive self-talk. Be nice to others but don’t be trampled over, per tit-for-tat.
You’re only a few good decisions away from living a great life.
You don’t have to get everything right. Have good intentions and do your best.
Money doesn’t buy happiness, no matter how much you want it to.
Long-term happiness comes from doing something you believe in.
Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Life is supposed to be fun.
