Introducing My Favorite People You Haven't Heard Of
These are a few great people I’ve met that deserve more love.
The idea of making connections keeps popping into my head when I think of the value I’d like to give in this week’s newsletter.
So this week I want to introduce you to some of my favorite people in their young 20s that I believe will do great things in their life. I think you’ll enjoy being part of their journey.
Maxybinks, Painter, Creative
Max is a 19-year-old artist from Paris who just wrapped up his second year of art school. I met Max about six weeks ago at NFT NYC, and we immediately hit it off.
Here’s a peek at some art he’s working on.
I like his art series Whole Lotta Yellow & Whole Lotta Blue.
But what I like more is how thoughtful he is presenting the artwork in a way that maximizes the viewer’s experience. Many artists make art only for themselves, which is fine, but I think there’s value to the artist in thinking of the piece from a viewer’s perspective as well.
At only 19 years old, Max is already so thoughtful about his artwork and business strategy. He’s also not just a painter, he’s a multi-talented creative who wants to expand into fashion & music management. It’s clear to me that Max is a winner.
You should follow his Instagram & Twitter to participate in his growth as an artist and a human.
Reed Rosen, Talent Manager
I met Reed last summer during his internship at ONE37pm. He was always the first one in, the last one out, and was extremely thoughtful and efficient. You can tell a winner when you see one. Reed is a winner.
He was always curious to learn something new and didn’t judge himself for asking questions. Hell, he’d even ask someone a question about something he knew was right to ensure he wasn’t missing any information.
Fast forward to today, and he’s working at Night Media, a talent agency representing many of the largest YouTube creators in North America, including Mr. Beast & Ryan Trahan. It’s clear to me that Reed is going to be one of the best talent managers in the game. I’m calling it now… Reed will play a vital role in launching someone’s career from entertainer to launching a very successful consumer product good (similar to Happy Dad, PRIME, or Mr. Beast Burger) off the back of a large audience on YouTube.
I recommend following Reed on Instagram & Twitter.
Sebastian Reynoso, Musician
Sebastian Reynoso is a musician I met last year at VeeCon, a conference around business & NFTs. I was introduced to Sebastian through a mutual friend and immediately listened to his music.
What surprised me was Sebastian’s knack for making positive-themed anthems that take the listener on a journey. Each song seems to evolve each minute.
Here’s a link to his Spotify. Go ahead and give him a chance.
What impresses me about Sebastian is how much work he’s put into making himself a well-rounded person. I remember meeting up with him in Bryant Park last fall. He was spitting spirituality facts.
He taught me the idea that you don’t have to identify with the thoughts that run through your head. He told me your brain is an infinite river of thoughts floating downstream. You grab thoughts from the river and attach them to yourself, positive or negative. As you continue attaching thoughts to yourself, you subconsciously grab similar thoughts and begin to believe those thoughts are who you are. But in reality, they’re simply thoughts floating by, and you can choose not to attach your self-worth to them.
I was in a tough spot mentally at the time, and I saw Seb as a light looking to help pull me up to his frequency.
The best part is I don’t have to fake being a fan of his music. I really do like what he makes. I think he has a long career ahead of him.
I recommend following Sebastian on Instagram & TikTok.
That’s what I’ve got for you today
