Chill Music To Budget To
Today I'm offering an auto budget tracking app recommendation and chill music to budget to
I used to track my budget. Outside of meditating, journaling, and exercising, it’s the best use of an hour or two I can think of.
I would use a Google Sheet template and input every line item manually.
Sure, it was great to comb through every penny spent meticulously, but it sucked to do.
In preparation for New York City, it would be a great idea for me to get back into the habit.
I just finished setting up a budget tracker app that links directly to my bank account. The app is called NerdWallet.
It took me about 2 hours to link everything. Most of the time was spent reviewing each line item and ensuring it categorized where money was going properly (Gas, insurance, shopping, gaming, etc). That will be important to do so that you get the full picture of your spending habits.
If you haven’t been checking your finances, I guarantee you’re paying for a subscription you don’t use right now. Additionally, you’ll likely eat healthier by realizing how easy it is to spend $100 on fast food. Skip the McDonalds and buy yourself some damn crock pot ingredients.
It’s tough to force yourself to set aside 2 hours to categorize spending habits. Put on some music and zone out.
How can anybody expect to build wealth if they don’t track it?
This is a great first step.
I made a 3-hour playlist perfect for a dull task like budgeting.
Songs 1-27 are meant to be heard front to back (not shuffle mode) because it guides the listener through a journey of a few different vibes. Good vibes, obviously. There are lots of funky basslines in the first few songs. That’s my shit.
Song 28 and beyond the guided vibe journey ends. I threw those in there for when you don’t care about the vibe journey and want to hit shuffle.
