A Few Rabbitholes I Think You'll Enjoy
In today’s newsletter, I want to extend an invitation to dive into some niche rabbit holes I dove into this week.
From a mini-terrarium to one of my favorite movie promo tactics to the most realistic driving simulator that’s turned video game players to professional racecar drivers.
These are 3 rabbitholes.
1. This Guy Has A Mini-Terrarium And I Can’t Look Away From It
This TikTok creator has turned a terrarium into an extremely engaging and informative video series.
From the visuals to the choice in story to the added sound effects of the insects… This is a high quality video.

2. Why Do Movies Feel So Different Now?
I came across this incredible video essay showing why recent movies have become more self-aware (like my favorite movie, Everything Everywhere All At Once). I was especially interested in how he walks us through the camera as a tool to depict real life, and how audiences wanted stories that were more fictional.
This video embodies a creator going the extra mile to craft an excellent video.
3. The Spiderman Across The Spiderverse Soundtrack Is Genius Marketing
This is one of my favorite albums in recent memory. It’s the Spiderman: Across The Spider-verse movie soundtrack + songs inspired by the movie.
The soundtrack isn’t self-serving to the Spiderman franchise. It’s a genuinely good album facilitated by the Spiderman marketing team and some of the biggest names in hip-hop (Metro Boomin, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, A$AP Rocky, Offset, Lil Uzi Vert & Future, to name a few from ONLY the first three songs).
I love when marketers make something that doesn’t feel like marketing. Now, anytime I want to play one of these songs, the Spiderman logo is on my phone screen and I may hear Spiderman references baked in.
